1 About MeraSona
MeraSona (meaning "My Gold" in Hindi) is a personal record-keeping and tracking tool that allows users to digitally catalog their gold holdings (jewelry, coins, bars) and view approximate valuations based on publicly available gold rate data. It is designed purely for the user's personal convenience and organization.
IMPORTANT: MeraSona is NOT a financial service, investment platform, trading platform, gold dealer, gold exchange, or financial advisory service. We do not facilitate, recommend, or enable the buying, selling, or trading of gold in any form. We are solely a digital record-keeping tool for tracking gold that users already own or plan to purchase on their own.
2 No Investment or Financial Advice
DISCLAIMER: Nothing in MeraSona — including but not limited to gold rate displays, portfolio valuations, profit/loss calculations, goal suggestions, insights, rate trends, daily summaries, or any other information displayed in the app — constitutes financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade gold or any other asset.
- We do not recommend buying gold at any time or price
- We do not recommend selling gold at any time or price
- We do not provide any opinion on gold as an investment
- We do not advise on the timing, quantity, or method of any gold transaction
- Any features like "Goals", "Insights", or "Savings Calculations" are purely for the user's personal planning and record-keeping, and are not to be interpreted as financial guidance
- Festival dates and occasions shown in the app are cultural references only, not recommendations to make purchases
Any financial decisions you make — including buying, selling, or holding gold — are entirely your own. Always consult a qualified, licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.
3 Gold Rates & Valuations — No Accuracy Guarantee
Critical Disclaimer: Gold rates displayed in MeraSona are sourced from third-party APIs and publicly available data. We make absolutely NO guarantee about the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of these rates.
- Gold rates shown are approximate and indicative only — they are not real-time market prices
- Rates may be delayed by minutes, hours, or longer depending on the data source
- Actual gold prices vary significantly based on location, jeweler, purity, making charges, taxes (GST), and market conditions
- Portfolio valuations are rough estimates based on user-entered data and approximate rates — they do not represent the actual resale or market value of your gold
- Profit/Loss calculations are indicative estimates and do not account for making charges, wastage, GST, resale deductions, or other real-world costs
- We are not responsible for any discrepancy between rates shown in the app and actual market or jeweler prices
- Rate change notifications and alerts are based on approximate data and should not be used for making purchase or sale decisions
4 No Liability — Complete Disclaimer
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:
MeraSona, its developer (Amanjot Singh), affiliates, and associated parties shall NOT be held liable, responsible, or accountable in any way for:
- Any financial loss, monetary damage, or economic harm of any kind arising from the use of this app
- Any buying or selling decisions made based on information displayed in the app
- Any losses due to changes in gold prices, market fluctuations, or economic conditions
- Any losses arising from inaccurate, delayed, or missing gold rate data
- Any incorrect portfolio valuations or profit/loss calculations
- Any loss or damage to data entered by the user, including holdings, goals, or photos
- Any losses due to app downtime, server failures, or service interruptions
- Any unauthorized access to user accounts due to user negligence
- Any actions taken or not taken based on notifications, alerts, or insights from the app
- Any tax implications arising from gold holdings tracked in the app
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind
You acknowledge and agree that:
- You use MeraSona entirely at your own risk
- MeraSona is provided strictly "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied
- We disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
- Our total liability for any claim related to MeraSona shall not exceed ₹0 (zero rupees), as this is a free service
- You will not hold MeraSona or its developer responsible for any financial outcome resulting from your use of the app
5 Nature of the Service
To be absolutely clear about what MeraSona is and is not:
MeraSona IS:
- A personal digital diary/record book for your gold items
- A convenience tool to catalog what you already own
- A goal-setting tool for personal planning purposes
- An approximate valuation calculator based on publicly available rate data
MeraSona is NOT:
- A gold trading or investment platform
- A financial advisory service
- A gold dealer, broker, or exchange
- A certified valuation service — app valuations have no legal or financial standing
- A replacement for professional gold appraisal
- An insurance document or proof of ownership
- A tax planning or reporting tool
6 Account Registration
- You must provide a valid Indian mobile number or Google account to register
- You must be at least 13 years of age to use MeraSona
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- One account per person — do not create multiple accounts
- Information you provide must be accurate and up to date
7 Acceptable Use
You may use MeraSona for personal, non-commercial gold tracking purposes. You may not:
- Use the app for commercial gold trading, brokerage, or dealing
- Attempt to access other users' data
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
- Use automated tools to scrape data from the app
- Upload harmful, illegal, or inappropriate content
- Use the app for money laundering, tax evasion, or any illegal activity
- Misrepresent app valuations as certified appraisals or legal proof of value
- Use the app's data or screenshots as binding financial documents
8 Your Data & Content
- You retain ownership of all data and photos you upload to MeraSona
- You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely to provide the service
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter — we do not verify any holdings information
- We do not claim ownership of your gold holdings information or photos
- You can delete all your data at any time through Settings → Delete Account
- Data entered in MeraSona does not constitute legal proof of gold ownership

9 Advertisements
The free version of MeraSona displays advertisements through Google AdMob. By using the app, you agree to the display of ads. We strive to ensure ads are non-intrusive. Any third-party products or services advertised within the app are not endorsed by MeraSona.
10 Third-Party Links & Services
MeraSona may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party sites. Any interaction with third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.
11 Service Availability
- We aim to keep MeraSona available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- The app may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues
- Gold rate data depends on third-party APIs which may be unavailable or discontinued at any time
- We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time without notice
- Offline mode allows basic functionality without an internet connection
12 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data. We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these terms of service
- Use the app for illegal activities
- Attempt to compromise the security of the service
- Misuse the app in any way
13 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MeraSona, its developer (Amanjot Singh), and any associated parties from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the app, violation of these terms, or any financial decisions you make based on information shown in the app.
14 Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with the updated terms, please stop using the app and delete your account.
15 Governing Law & Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the use of MeraSona shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Punjab, India. You agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes through informal discussion by contacting us at the email below.
16 Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
